The Eclipse 180 Freestanding LED Awning is built to handle tough outdoor conditions, and it shows. This freestanding awning comes with integrated LED lighting and offers a combination of strength, smart design, and convenience—ideal for those who need dependable gear for their adventures.

According to the manufacturer, the Eclipse 180 has undergone a rigorous 30-day wind testing process, facing everything from light breezes to powerful gusts. During testing, it withstood wind speeds over 50km/h. Even after sustaining some damage, the awning reportedly maintained its performance after simple repairs. Testing was conducted using the Omega OM-CP-WIND101A wind speed data logger, calibrated with data from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, recording wind speed every second.

Based on these results, the Eclipse 180 is rated for freestanding use in wind speeds up to 30km/h. That said, we strongly recommend always using the included support poles, pegs, and guy ropes—weather can change quickly, and proper setup ensures your awning stays secure and protected.

Beyond durability, this awning is packed with smart features. Dimmable LED strips are neatly built into the rafter arms, including an amber setting to reduce insect attraction. The clever two-piece backing plate allows for a fully enclosed transit cover while also making it easier to move the awning between vehicles. Built-in 8mm sailtrack channels provide compatibility with a wide range of accessories.

If you’re looking for even more coverage, optional wall kits are available to increase the sheltered area from 8.2 m² to 16.5 m².
